The Position

Orcas Consulting is currently seeking full time candidates with experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Identity Manager 2010 (FIM) in medium to large complex environments. Orcas Consulting has immediate openings to fill for Consultant and Engineer level positions.  The successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with Identity Life Cycle Manager (ILM) and Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) as well as other Microsoft related core technologies such as Active Directory (AD), Active Directory Federated Services (AD FS) Rights Management Services (RMS) or OptimalIDM’s Virtual Integration Server (VIS).  They will enjoy driving solutions in a highly professional team environment.

Job Title:

Senior Identity Management Solutions Engineer/Architect

Job Purpose:

Implement information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions such as Active Directory, Active Directory Federated Services (AD FS), Forefront Identity Manger (FIM and Optimal IDM’s Virtual Integration Server (VIS).

Job Duties:

  • Consult with Fortune 1000 clients
  • Utilize his/her solid development skills to customize and configure identity management technology and enterprise security infrastructure
  • Provide customer guidance on industry best practices such as, SDLC, testing, source control and proper coding techniques.
  • Design and implement various aspects of FIM such as MA Extensions, Custom MA’s, MPR’s, Sets, Sync Rules, Custom Workflows.
  • Design and recommend FIM infrastructure strategies that incorporate DR, redundancy and performance requirements dictated by the customer.
  • Provide business and technology strategy and planning by leveraging knowledge in both technical and business areas.
  • Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Develops IAM solutions by studying client needs; conferring with peers; studying connecting systems flow, data flow, and workflow processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

Skills/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Develops IAM solutions by studying client needs; conferring with peers; studying connecting systems flow, data flow, and workflow processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Formal training or experience in .NET.
  • Previous experience in medium to large organization as a developer using a formal SDLC.
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience with development technologies such as Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, MS Web Services, C#, and PowerShell. Optional but important skills include experience with SharePoint and Windows Identity Foundation.
  • Experience with enterprise security and compliance issues and challenges.
  • Experience with enterprise identity management systems such as Forefront Identity Manager, Oracle, Tivoli, CA is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Federated Identity Systems and Virtual Directories is highly desirable.
  • Must be polished in front of a client.
  • Must have excellent communications skills and able to deliver articulate and effective strategic presentations.
  • The successful candidate will receive formal and on the job training as a developer in Forefront Identity Manager 2010, and will be required to demonstrate a defined skill level within a set timeframe.
  • Security and Microsoft related certifications preferred but experience will be considered.
